What has Teru been doing these past years?

Recently became a Sannin. His wife Amaya bore him two children, Tekumi Uchiha who's now 3, Tenchi who's newborn, and another kid who's still inside of her. He's very happy to be a father and glad that the Uchiha population in Konoha is growing. He's so revered in the clan that he's reputed to be stronger than the Uchiha clan leader of Konohagakure. He's worked extensively on the building of Konohagakure and nurturing the new generation of shinobi, instilling the Will of Fire into them. Teru has given a few lectures at the newly founded Academy. He's developed a rather strong bond with Shodaime Hokage Tee Koroku and fellow Sannin Yarashi Uchiha, as they've fought side by side multiple times. He's also met other Konoha nin like Hiro Toriyama and Taiyo Takka. His student Kenshi Uchiha is now a Jounin in the Leaf, and pretty much the fastest ninja in the village second only to him. Teru's fame grew as he himself grew faster than five years prior, mastering his speed and speed jutsus. He's learned a number of high-level jutsu and created some of his own. He has had done dozens of missions for Konoha. Overall, his ability, experience, and power significantly increased.

Teru has a knack for infiltration. Due to the establishment of the five great ninja villages, he knew that the village would need info from other villages if they were to survive for at least another decade. With his unmatched speed, he swiftly snuck into Iwagakure and Sunagakure, stayed there for a few days to learn some information, then escape when he thought that he was caught, said by his pursuers to have simply "vanished into thin air right before their eyes". He'd return to Konohagakure, with documented, secret information on his findings, all formed out on the Hokage's desk the next morning. He also loved to hunt things and people down with his ninja hounds. He'd often put up tracking services for people and earn some money along the way.

Teru expected the war between Kumogakure and Konohagakure to begin. He knew that the alliance made 5 years ago meant nothing, and believed that Kumogakure would double-cross them, using the alliance as a simply way to delay Konoha and catch them off guard when they do attack them. He surmised that the tossle between the Kumo and Konoha unit was not accidental, but rather a well-designed plan by Kumogakure to make it seem like Konoha is at fault here and use it as an excuse to declare war. He poached his theory to the Hokage.
He trained very hard in preparation for the war. He had little idea of what their forces were like, as he'd never been there for when he arrived there as an Uchiha on good terms, they would not allow him in the village. But he knew that they were strong without a doubt, for they possessed the two strongest Bijuu and Jinchuriki in the world. He had to master his skills. Despite his hostility against Kumogakure, he was frustrated with the Shinobi World as a whole. Again, the stupidity begins. What was the purpose of the ninja village system, if another war broke out a few years after everything got back in order? Are they really going to revert back to ancient times, and duke it out as ninja have centuries ago? Yet for someone who believed in peace and equality, he believed in the Hokage's decision to counterattack. He got a new weapon, called the Blade of Kagutsuchi.
