The Lightning Sannin sets out to claim peace by force, the hunt for Kurama begins.

Though he understood the reasoning behind the Mizukage's words he was surprised that peace through peaceful means meant so little to her. The respect felt lacking, were Sannin just more expendable ninja to other villages? He gave respect but it felt as though none was given in return. Did he not aid her in capturing a Bijuu? Was he not a Clan leader, a Lord among ninja? Even if trust were an issue she should've allowed a true bond to be made instead of simply being acquaintances...

The questions forged a deep sigh as the Sannin came to the realization that until all Bijuu were caught and killed there would be only an arms race. "It seems people only respect power... So I will hunt the nine tails, and tame it with an iron will. If they don't recognize a Lord among ninja, perhaps they will recognize more power." The thought almost disgusted him, the fact that he was forced to do such a thing was frustrating. But he had to, he would calm himself and harness everything he had for the duty at hand. The boat would continue on, his people would tell the Raikage of his mission. For the moment he would sit and create the balance of chakra within himself, the decision was made and preparations were being completed.

He meditated on his boat, harnessing the full force of his Sage mode before setting out to hunt the largest power he could find. He expected the hardest fight of his life, and perhaps the most rewarding. No matter what happened in the end he would enjoy it. "Kurama... Even if you are a tailed beast, I am sorry it has come to this..." Until every Bijuu was dead or tamed they would be the obsession of the world, a fact he could not abide by. He could feel the energy now, it would be a matter of time until he caught up.

It was almost comical, the manner in which Kurama was napping. All these years and he was still not used to having nine tails. He fidgeted, moving his tails from place to place in his little napping area, before deciding that they all just could not fit in a comfortable position. There were weaker foxes with one tail in the world that could do this, so why could the almighty Kurama not do it? It frustrated him to the point that he got up and just bounded in any random direction, in this case, North. However, now moving he became more aware of his surroundings, and somewhere to the West, he felt a powerful sense of chakra. Large enough to give him a challenge, perhaps...

After a momentary pause in thinking, trying to decide whether to go after the sense of chakra for the possibility of finding another Bijuu, or to move away from it for the same reason. Eventually, as the chakra source moved closer, Kurama felt it was not a Bijuu... Rather, it was a human. He paused for a second, thinking, "A human... with this much raw power? This is rare, rare indeed. Hrmm, curiosity killed the cat." Or in this case, it could kill the fox, for Kurama abruptly changed directions, now bounding toward the source of raw power.

He was excited. It'd been a long time since he had had the opportunity to fight a worthy human. He marveled at the fact that this human even inspired a sense of fear in him. But was he going to turn back? Oh, oh hell no. There was no way he would do such a thing, he was already looking forward to this fight, maybe a little too much. This would be the funnest thing he had done in years... and besides. He had to knock this human down a few notches for thinking to come anywhere near the almighty Kurama.

Rocore thought began to become more familiar with feel of the tailed beast's chakra... What surprised him more than the simply overwhelming amount of it was that it was moving towards himself. A grin formed at the corners of his mouth, "So we both desire something from the other... Very well, perhaps I can give you just that." Rather than use more of his own supply of chakra to meet the nine-tails he diverted his path in search of a lake.

His hopes were that the nine-tails would follow him, whatever attracted Kurama this way would likely keep him interested for a while. If it was him he hoped the beast would prove curious enough... As he came across a large expanse of water his smile broadened. His hands came together over his chest and his focus began once more. Making sure to charge himself as much as possible whilst clouds began togather.

"I'm waiting for you, great tailed beast, prepare yourself as I have done the same. One of us will submit this day." He felt confident in at least that fact, still he was uncertain as to whether he could win. This feeling... The power the beast emanated was nothing short of incredible.

Alright ill show my village I'm useful I will go out and take on a tailed beast my self. I will be remembered eather for being the stupidst ninja alive or being the most brave ninja there could be. *sets up the boat and charts out the way to the cloud village* seems like that's were the action is. *sets saill* ill. Be there in a bit. Few day max.

Abruptly feeling his, now enemy, change directions, Kurama changed to follow him. However, after getting to be about 100 yards away, he suddenly stopped. He thought for a second. This man was way to powerful to be afraid, that was sure. So why did he run away? Taking in his surroundings, Kurama saw an enormous lake. Thinking back, he had fought ninja that could manipulate the water to their will, using it as weapons. Kurama decided keeping a bit of a distance was best at first.

Kurama tipped his enormous head back, and opened his maw to reveal teeth that were sharp and jagged, a meter long in most cases. Positive and negative energy and chakra began forming at the base of his mouth and formed a ball. When it was fully sized, his maw closed around it. Inside Kurama's mouth, the ball was compacting, becoming more powerful. This was essentially the Tailed Beast Bomb, but with Kurama's added touch. Instead of blasting the Bomb as one attack, he blasted it in two bits, in the form of waves (Like the Kamehameha) the first at the more obvious opponent in front of him, the second was meant to be a follow-up on the enemy's dodge. The first would cause debris and was moving at about 3 times the speed of a normal bijuudama, so there was little time for hand-seals.

Rocore had wondered why the beast had stopped, as soon as it's maw opened he understood why. Both other beasts he had encountered had only opened their mouths so wide to fire the aptly named bijuudama. Whilst the clouds gathered over-head, taking water from the lake to form, he had to dodge such a blast.

He watched as the blast built up and then he leaped into the air utilizing the body flicker technique to jump significantly higher than normal. To his surprise there was a second just after the first that he narrowly escaped, he'd need to act rather than react in this battle...

"I didn't expect quite this much raw force..." He muttered, still he had a chance now. As he descended over the slowly forming river, in a literal free fall he went through a series of hand-signs an obvious water-style tactic that was forming, but he just needed to buy a little more time for the storm to brew... Would Kurama allow it?

Kurama saw that his Tailed Beast Bomb Blast had caused a massive rut protruding from the Lake he was trying to keep his distance from. He moved back about 100 yards and began to wait again. Kurama may love to fight, but this man had challenged him. This being so, if Kurama just walked away, the man would follow, even if it meant giving up his advantage. Looking up, Kurama saw a storm brewing overhead, faster than any normal storm could have. This made Kurama grow wary. Was this ninja setting it up? Kurama slowly moved backward, away from the storm, so as to be safer. Kurama would simply wait now, refusing to give his enemy that much of a home field advantage.

"Clever as a Fox holds true for the beast." He muttered as he plummeted to the Earth, finishing his hand signs and creating several water dragons from the swelling stream. He used used one to slow his fall as he fell into its maw. Mostly a clever tactic to start but soon he was atop seven large, snaking dragon heads speeding towards Kurama. The storm spread slowly but there was a much more obvious problem now. The beast could be certain this man was an expert with the water style. No wonder he needed the lake.

Kurama was a bit puzzled, and a bit amazed at the same time with this technique. Shinobi never ceased to puzzle him, but none were as amazing as the Father of Shinobi, the Sage of Six Paths himself. He knew his enemy could not get to him on those... whatever those things were made out of water, because he was a considerable distance away from the water now. Kurama opened his maw as if he was going to fire another Tailed Beast Bomb, but instead, roared, sending a massive wave of raw condensed power at the man he was fighting, which would be capable of both reducing the... whatever he was riding to a splash, and send him back to the lake, probably with a broken bone.

(This technique was shown to knock back 5 Bijuu in the manga.)

Rocore blinked expecting another tailed beast blast, he wondered if they had a limit. Perhaps as many as the tails on the beast? He furrowed his brow as he maneuvered his dragons and hid himself within one of them. As the wall of force hit the first the dragon was simply obliterated. One by one the dragons were destroyed though the force did seem to slow down at number five. He was sent flying, his final dragon taking the brunt of the force while he broke the surface of the lake with an explosive kunai to remove the surface tension and make for a softer landing.

He rode forward on one now, as a light drizzle began and a strong wind picked up. A storm was certainly brewing. " Let us fight Kurama! Enough retreat!" He shouted, his voice carried some distance by the wind. All these long distance attacks and its simple movements were annoying. Still with the added water of his dragons now in the air, the storm expanded further. Soon he would be able to go all out.

Kurama, as prideful as he was, was tempted to fall for his opponent's taunts, even though he knew that that is what their purpose was. But if he was going to do that, he would have to do something about this unnatural storm. Lifting his head up, Kurama performed the Tailed Beast Shockwave once more, roaring and blasting forth a powerful and condensed wave of raw power, pushing the clouds out to sea within a few seconds. Kurama would now take the bait, even if it meant giving his enemy a home field advantage, for he was prideful.

Crouching down like a feline about to leap onto her prey, Kurama's thick corded muscles began to tense, and with his full strength and speed, Kurama kicked off the ground, fully charging his enemy and leaving deep holes where his feet were before. Approaching from the side of the rut in the Earth, Kurama unleashed once again the Tailed Beast Shockwave at his enemy, for it did not take much of a chakra cost, and attempted in blasting his enemy away from the rut.

The Sannin nodded as Kurama made its move, expecting further head on strikes and suspecting that he would attempt to remove the clouds. He changed his plans accordingly. When the first roar crashed into the sky he descended into the water the force of the second roar was still surprising as it caused the water to part to him and sent him to the bottom of the lake. It didn't do much damage but it was quite the wake up call.

The Sannin rapidly went through his motions and summoned a mass of clouds for Kurama to enjoy, for whatever reason he still felt the need to say the name of his own jutsu beneath water..."Fallen Cloud Jutsu"... After that moment he wondered why he always needed to say it. Still the water dispersed all over their battlefield formed into ground level clouds around them all. Utilizing the body flicker technique he moved to the surface. As he did so the clouds would begin discharging electricity all around the beast. It took up a good amount of chakra but was well worth it. Lightning and water coming together in unison.

The enemy was clever. He had tried leading Kurama into a trap and Kurama fell for it, even though he KNEW it was a trap. He must have heard tell of Kurama's enormous sense of pride, for taunting him was the perfect way. the storm clouds brewed up around Kurama, and he had no escape. He was struck on his left flank by lightning, essentially stunning his left side, making it much less coordinated, though because of his enormous size, it did not damage him too much more. He needed to get out of this cloud.

Kurama, using his already massive forward motion, jumped directly over the rut, swiping all nine of his tails at his enemy rapidly so as to not be attacked, however Kurama jumped much too high to hit him unless he really DID attack. When Kurama burst free of the cloud, he opened his maw once more, allowing the positive and negative energy to gather together, forming a massive sphere of the Bijuu's strongest attack. Remembering his opponent's jump last time, Kurama did not condense the Tailed Beast Bomb, and instead launched it fully at his opponent, telling his whereabouts by utilizing his chakra sensing abilities. With the bomb at full size, it was bigger than Kurama himself, though much less stable and weaker. If it were to connect it would leave the opponent mortally wounded, though not dead.

The Sannin did not smile as he was certain of his strike. Still the clouds would serve further purpose as he was still within him he felt the beast bomb charging. Perhaps he could end the battle here? He doubted as much, Kurama hardly seemed phased being able to even leap after the lightning. Still it must've done something... When the ball was released and travelling towards him the Sannin made his move, "Lightning Step..." Likely his most draining but powerful attack. His body seemed to disperse and vibrate with an actual bolt of lightning from the clouds. While the over-sized and all-powerful bomb traveled at an incredible rate, his own speed using this move was that of lightning itself.

Travelling through the storm, clouds pushed aside by the sheer size of the ball, he made it to the edge before lightning arced out at Kurama and struck in full force on his snout. The Sannin had used lightning as his transportation and now looked Kurama in the eye, "I am honored."

Now that he no longer had any forward momentum, Kurama could hardly moved his left side, having been stunned by his enemy. The enemy dodged his Bijuudama once more, and now landed on Kurama's snout, causing it to bleed a bit. Kurama shook his head with all his strength trying to shake the man off, and he turned and ran in the opposite direction, albeit slower because of being struck by the lightning.

Kurama WOULD not be enslaved to humans here, he would NOT. As he was running, Kurama swiped his tail once more at his enemy, using the same technique, creating a huge pressurized wave and sending it at his enemy, though he was unsure whether he had even shaken the enemy off, for he had closed his eyes after remember what Takugan Uchiha had done to him all those years ago when he attacked the Uchiha Clan. He was unsure whether this man had those illusional demon eyes, but he did not take the chance.

Rocore had rather quickly drawn his scythes and caught one on the fox's snout, probably what saved his life as well as kept him close. He pulled himself back up, using his electric chakra to flow through the metal and once more into Kurama. "The Nine-tails runs from a fight?" He asked his voice one of anger, "You are the greatest opponent I've ever seen yet you too retreat!?" He roared as his frustration grew.

Rather than wait any longer he shouted his attack while holding onto his scythe. "Ion Storm!" he sent the thunderous cloud straight for the beast's eye. Fury evident, "I want a battle not a coward! Show me the power of the Nine-tails!" It seemed anger was making up for the Sannin's weakening state at least for now.

This man's words struck Kurama like a fist, and suddenly, through his anger, Kurama's pain was numbed. "You insolent fool..." Kurama now batted at the enemy with his massive paw, knowing he would dodge, but not entirely sure, Kurama opened his eyes just in time to see this strange miniature storm dissipated by the force of his paw. Kurama then rolled to the side and searched for the enemy he was now fully intent on destroying, as his anger surged through his body and spewed into the surrounding world, forcing even the grass to tremble in fear, and children thousands of miles away to cry in discomfort.

Rocore smiled slightly, this is what he had wanted. But for some reason he didn't account for Kurama's paws. He was dumb struck in his rage he had forgotten to keep thinking... He plummeted to the earth using wind to slow his fall. Still even being batted aside by Kurama he had to respect its power. His scythes however were still attached to Kurama's nose. They might need to come out later.

Though Kurama might be able to follow his charge with his eyes, most ninja would not. The wind began to pick up and kurama could see a tornado forming before his eyes, the central point being the Sannin. Clouds formed over-head once more as the result of this new jutsu.

Kurama was not going to let this man go. He would die now. Kurama, once again, gathered the positive and negative energy at his maw into the fabled Tailed Beast Bomb. However, when his maw closed around it and compacted it, it was split into three parts, and he fired one at his enemy, surely powerful enough to kill him if it hit, and he stored the other two parts in his maw. After his enemy dodged, Kurama would fire another as a follow-up, and the third was hopefully going to hit, though he did not expect the first to hit, and thought the second would only have a chance.

While the storms grew and the tornado grew exponentially the sannin's attire tore in places from the sheer force of his own winds. This is it... I can feel it. He thought as the first bomb was fired. The bottom of his tornado taken out as he raced upward simply because the wind forced him to. The tornado simply re formed in it's place as the pressure in the area reformed. To put more pressure on kurama though he used the tornado to throw 10 normal kunai with nine explosive mixed in. The wind sped up what would've been a normal throw exponentially hurling them at upwards of 80 miles per hour. They collided with a not so surprising second blast slowly it down only slightly.

The man smirked as it came closer and was very suddenly sucked into the tornando and thrown back. To his genuine surprise the second and third bombs then collided creating an all new explosion That shook seemed to shake both earth and sky. His storm held true but it caught him off guard as the distance between the two was now devoid of any life.

Panting heavily now, Kurama's exhaustion slowly began to numb his body. Curses. He'd overused the Bijuudama, so he would probably have to rely heavily on physical combat now. Kurama, seeing the strange projectiles thrown at him, ducked just below them, readying for a giant leap. As soon as the projectiles passed over him, Kurama leaped into the air, getting to the height of his enemy, attempting to bat him out of the middle of the tornado. Because of his massive size, he would not be swept away, however his paw would likely be hit by flying debri. If Kurama made contact, the enemy would crash into the ground, possibly breaking ribs.

Mid-leap, Kurama's eyes wavered. He was in pain. He was exhausted, and he was nearly out of chakra. This human... was this human besting him? Kurama, in his own mind, gave his respect to the Shinobi, a rare thing indeed, for no one had ever before gained his respect. However, Kurama would push forward. He would not give up and land himself into slavery with these humans unless he could no longer push on.

The Sannin could feel his concentration slipping away but his plan had worked well, the destruction that Kurama could bring was... Horrifying.

The Sannin watched Kurama dodge then leap into the air. His clothes were torn, his hair in disarray. He appeared a shadow amidst the swirling mass, with how his hair appeared it might've even looked similar to a distorted image of the great sage. When Kurama was committed to the jump Rocore prepared the only secret technique he had left.

"Lightning Hurricane!" He roared as the gale force winds rippled with lightning drawing Kurama closer still possibly enough to take the full force of this move. The Lightning Vortex of terror.The tearing power of the wind with the raw striking power of lightning. Though the paw would likely over-shoot him Kurama's fore-leg would be making contact just the same whether or not the beast was wounded. It would be an unavoidable risk he had to take.

Kurama struck his target, sending him crashing to the ground, likely breaking a rib or two. However, the Sannin's attack was much more devastating to Kurama, for Kurama had almost collapsed from exhaustion already. The Lightning which enveloped him shocked him all over his body, nearly completely paralyzing him. He landed face-first next to the Sannin and his face was stricken with fear. He'd lost... he was done...

Rocore was breathing heavily, a hand over his chest and one eye open as he looked at Kurama. "Well fought..." He stated simply. "I thought the Raikage might've arrived by now." A sigh escaped him as he got up albeit slowly. "I'll have to bring him to me..." He unrolled then bit his thumb and went through the necessary motions to summon Takugan Uchiha to him for the sealing of Kurama. "It was an honor to fight you."
